A blank recordable CD held 650 megabytes, an abstraction the ad makes physical by burying an office worker under a paper tower no person could file. By translating storage capacity into a stack of documents the disc replaces, Sony sidesteps the spec-sheet number entirely and lets the visual gag carry the math. It is the same move every storage ad faces: a buyer cannot picture a megabyte, but can picture the paperwork it eliminates.
