The Lure of the Underground
Alfred Leete drew this 1927 poster for the Underground Group, the same illustrator behind the WWI 'Your Country Needs You' Kitchener recruitment design. He renders the Underground roundel as a vortex sucking crowds toward it while bus and taxi riders look on enviously. The comic device makes a logistics argument visual: the network's speed is the lure, with the brand symbol itself doing the pulling.
