Bacardi
Mixes with Everything. Except Driving.
'Bacardi rum mixes with everything' had been the brand's core pitch since the early 1970s, when ads fanned out grids of Coke, Pepsi, and Dr Pepper caps to argue the rum was the one bottle that worked with any mixer. This mid-1980s execution hijacks that established line and appends 'Except driving,' so the punchline only lands because the audience already knows the slogan. Swapping a soda cap for a steering wheel turns the brand's own boast into a drunk-driving warning without abandoning the campaign.
