Tom Hall reduces a bull moose to a flat silhouette against a burnt-orange sky, its legs mirrored in shallow water, with no train or timetable anywhere in the design. Hall was one of Canadian Pacific's principal poster artists in the 1930s, and a companion grizzly poster of his won a Transit Advertisers award for best travel-division poster; the moose image works by selling the Canadian wilderness as the destination, leaving the railway to be inferred as the way to reach it.
