Canada, Go Greyhound

Rod Ruth stacks the standard tourist shorthand for Canada -- a scarlet-tunic Mountie, a moose, snow peaks and a chateau -- into a single upright totem. Ruth was a regular Greyhound illustrator who produced destination posters along the company's routes, and rather than picturing the bus he sells the trip as a collection of recognizable sights, making the ride the means of gathering them.
